Director of Development and International Relations
The Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) is seeking a full time Director of Development and International Relations. Job Description
- Responsible for all ACRI fundraising activities
- Manages a four person department
- Member of the senior staff
- Participates in the planning of the organization’s overall budget
- Manages the department’s budget
- Principle point of contact for donors, foundations, and foreign governments
- Creates long term and short term work plans for the department
- Works with other members of the staff to ensure all donor and foundation requirements are met.
- Responsible for all English language products (reports, proposals, overseas communication, website and other promotional materials)
- Maintains current funding portfolio and develops new sources of revenue.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred)
- At least five years fundraising experience
- Experience managing staff
- Experience in formulating and implementing work plans
- Experience managing complex budgets
- Experience with grant writing and editing documents in English
- Native level English and advanced level Hebrew
- A strong knowledge of the philanthropy sector in Israel and abroad
- Experience with government grants (EIDHR, MEPI, etc)
- Broad knowledge of the human rights challenges in Israel
- Superior planning, organizational and management skills
- Strong computer skills
- Works well under pressure
- Able to work irregular hours (ex. calls with donors overseas at night and several evening meetings.)
Full time position: 100%
Salary: Depending on experience
Location: Tel Aviv or Tel Aviv three days a week and either ACRI’s Jerusalem or Nazareth offices on the other days.
Reports to: Executive Director
Start Date: May 1, 2016
