Job Summary
The Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) seeks a full-time International Relations Associate to work under the supervision of the Director of International Relations. The Associate is a key staff member who will be responsible for managing and cultivating a portfolio of donors, including strategic partners and ACRI’s English-speaking network of supporters. This will include writing proposals, reports and publicity materials, making presentations, and maintaining a donor database. This position is based in ACRI’s offices in either Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, with regular travel between both offices, and some overseas travel as necessary.
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of existing donors including foundations, governments and private individuals
- Growing this portfolio by identifying and cultivating new donor prospects through written proposals and frontal presentations
- Support in donor relations, correspondence and funding campaigns
- Logistical support for overseas travel
- International communications (English language newsletters, maintenance of English website, social media)
- Some Hebrew to English translations (press releases, website and social media posts)
- Work with the department director on special projects as needed
- Maintaining a donor database on Salesforce
Required Professional Skills/Attributes:
- Academic Degree (preference given to candidates with MA)
- At least three years of proven experience in donor relations and development
- Experience with preparing proposals to the European Commission an advantage
- Native English with first-class editing and writing skills
- Advanced-level Hebrew proficiency with the ability to professionally and accurately translate materials from Hebrew to English
- A solid commitment to human rights and identification with ACRI’s mission and values
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Team player who can take initiative
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite, DropBox, MailChimp, WordPress)
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- Willingness to travel regularly between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv offices
- Willingness to travel abroad
