Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of International Relations, the associate will be responsible for supporting ACRI’s development activities and producing English-language content on the broad range of human rights issues addressed by ACRI. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships with key donors, strategic partners and ACRI’s English-speaking network of supporters. The successful candidate will also manage ACRI’s social media presence, as well as our English website. The Development Associate is a key staff member, providing essential support for all development, fundraising, and communications activities at ACRI.
Core Responsibilities
- Support in donor relations, correspondence and grant application cycles
- Research on donor prospects
- Private Foundation Relations
- Assist Israeli Fundraiser with event planning and local donor outreach
- English language newsletters and supporter communication
- Logistical support for senior staffs’ overseas travel
- Gather information and updates from staff members in Hebrew to facilitate the preparation of top-quality materials in English.
- Work with Director of International Relations, Development Associate and Public Outreach department to create written materials in English for a variety of purposes.
- Manage and develop the English website and social media channels.
- Hebrew to English translations of social media posts, press releases, and web posts.
- Work with the department director on special projects as needed
Required Professional Skills/Attributes:
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:
- Creativity and first-class editing and writing skills (at least three years experience).
- Native-level English and advanced Hebrew with the ability to professionally and accurately translate materials from Hebrew to English, often including detailed legal materials.
- A solid commitment to human rights and identification with ACRI’s mission and values.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- A keen eye for detail along with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team player who can take initiative.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite, DropBox, MailChimp)
- Preference will be given to candidates that possess: Basic design skills, familiarity with Salesforce and WordPress.
