ACRI Is Looking for an English-Language Spokesperson

The Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) is Israel’s leading human rights organization and the only one that addresses the entire spectrum of human rights and civil liberties issues in Israel and the Occupied Territories. ACRI is currently seeking a part time English-language Media Spokesperson in the International Relations and Development Department.
 
 
 
JOB SUMMARY
 
Under the supervision of the Director of International Relations, the English-language spokesperson will be responsible for proactive outreach to the International Media on a whole variety of ACRI-related issues, maintaining ongoing information flow with locally based journalists and journalists abroad, and drafting opinion articles and blog posts. This work will be carried out in close coordination with the media team at ACRI and in collaboration with other staff members.

Blog posts
Coordination with Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian ACRI spokespersons
Coordination with International Communications team
 
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
 
A solid commitment to human rights and identification with ACRI’s mission and values.
Bachelor’s degree. (Master’s degree welcome)
Perfect English-language writing and editing skills (Please DO NOT apply if this is a question for you).
Very strong Hebrew reading and speaking skills and prior experience working in a Hebrew work environment (Please DO NOT apply if this is a question for you).
Accurate and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Working knowledge of the media.
Capacity to work independently and to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills.
