Accordingly, our comments at this stage are based on the information published in the media.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We must clarify from the outset that we oppose this proposed law. Granting powers to Members of Knesset, by means of a political procedure, to suspend or depose serving Members of Knesset violates the right to vote and to be elected and harms the foundations of democracy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/law.acri.org.il\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/eu-flag-e1488204509101.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10670\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10670 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/law.acri.org.il\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/eu-flag-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"eu flag\" width=\"74\" height=\"49\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h6>This document has been produced with the financial assistance of the European Union.
