The candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships with key donors, strategic partners and ACRI&#8217;s English-speaking network of supporters. The successful candidate will also manage ACRI\u2019s social media presence, as well as our English website. The Development Associate is a key staff member, providing essential support for all development, fundraising, and communications activities at ACRI.<\/p>\n<p><center><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This is a full time position.<\/span><\/center><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Core Responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support in donor relations, correspondence and grant application cycles<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Research on donor prospects<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Private Foundation Relations<\/li>\n<li>Assist Israeli Fundraiser with event planning and local donor outreach<\/li>\n<li>English language newsletters and supporter communication<\/li>\n<li>Logistical support for senior staffs\u2019 overseas travel<\/li>\n<li>Gather information and updates from staff members in Hebrew to facilitate the preparation of top-quality materials in English.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Director of International Relations, Development Associate and Public Outreach department to create written materials in English for a variety of purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and develop the English website and social media channels.<\/li>\n<li>Hebrew to English translations of social media posts, press releases, and web posts.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the department director on special projects as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Required Professional Skills\/Attributes: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creativity and first-class editing and writing skills (at least three years experience).<\/li>\n<li>Native-level English and advanced Hebrew with the ability to professionally and accurately translate materials from Hebrew to English, often including detailed legal materials.<\/li>\n<li>A solid commitment to human rights and identification with ACRI\u2019s mission and values.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.<\/li>\n<li>A keen eye for detail along with strong organizational and time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Team player who can take initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite, DropBox, MailChimp)<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to candidates that possess: Basic design skills, familiarity with Salesforce and WordPress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How to Apply<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should send their CV, cover letter, and short writing sample on any topic (under 500 words) in English to <a href=\"mailto: ryan@acri.org.il\">ryan@acri.org.il<\/a> with the subject line: Development and Communications Associate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for applications: 17 August 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted.<br \/>\nInterviews will take place the following week and the successful candidate must be available to take up the position in early September.<\/p>\n<p>The Association for Civil Rights in Israel is an equal opportunities employer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
