The subject of the conference is &#8220;a national plan to struggle against poverty,&#8221; and it will mark the launch of a lobby of Knesset Members committed to this issue \u2013 headed by MKs Daniel Ben-Simon, Zevulun Orlev, Muhammad Barakeh, and Shlomo Molla.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/depts\/dhl\/poverty\/\">International Day for the Eradication of Poverty<\/a> is held each year on October 17, in order to promote awareness of the need to eradicate poverty. Every year, this day is marked in various events around the world, as well as in Israel. However, this year \u2013 due to the Jewish and Muslim holidays \u2013 the marking of this day in the Knesset was postponed to February 14.
